In November the ‘to Beirut’ Group organized an Electro Music Event at Rex Club in Paris to raise funds for the Lebanese Red Cross. With Ada (live), Sascha Funke, Joakim, Alex Kid, Llorca, Scratch Massive, Siskid, Duplex 100, D’julz, PToile LLC, Alex K, Jade, Fany, Jef K, Manu le Malin, Fafa Monteco, David Duriez, Dj Fex and many more mixing at the event in support of Lebanon. see http://www.tobeirut.org.

p.s from Paris to Beirut raised over 7000 USD for the Lebanese Red Cross

How much DJ’s make ? December 18, 2006

while i was watchin’ tiesto concert on BPM TV, a question came to my mind.. with all the work, publicity, hectic travelling schedules .. does it really pay off .. well accordin’ to lotus magazine december’s issue :

Top 10 Dj’s: $15,000 – $150,000
Internationally Recognized: $10,000 – $25,000
Nationally Recognized: $4,000 – $6,000
Locally Recognized: $1,000 – 3,000
Local: $0 – $1,000
Bedroom: $0 – $100

so its not that bad after all for international DJ’s(i remember tiesto asking 150,000 for a particular event in Greece) but for bedroom DJ’s like me who cant spin records full time due to study .. its more of a “love for the game” than making money .. even though i remember making 450$ a night three years in a row for DJ’ying at the Gala events at Carleton Uinversity a while ago..

  Ministry of Sound (MoS) is one of the most famous nightclubs in the world of electronic music, said to be to London what   Studio 54 was to New York, and whose fame goes far across English borders. Located in Elephant and Castle, Southwark,   South London, and officially opened in 1992 after weeks of ’secret’ club nights the Ministry had already been packed out through word-of-mouth, Ministry of Sound was one of the key locations in the development of house music and superclubs in Britain in the early 1990s. Examlicious ! December 15, 2006

its exam time again, even though i graduated last year i decided to complete my honour degree incase i wanted to do my Masters in the future ( i doubt it !! ), the thing is, i hate freakin’ exams ! , i mean going through graduation and all that and now i have to take more courses and exams again !! its insane!!!!!, anywho cant wait to finish my last exam because im going to visit my brother in NEW YORK, NEW YORK, im not sure if i should be excited since i was hoping more of a tropical destination like i did last year( cancun !!! we miss u ),oh well, everybody is telling me the city is crazy! and im gonna have lots of fun, so here is my list of things to do (New York):
1- spend some time with ma brotha !
